I design and build sales systems around how your business actually sells - so your team uses them. For B2B industrial, trade, and service businesses doing $3M-$20M.

No single place tells you where deals actually stand. Ask three people and you'll get three answers - none of them complete, none of them current.
Whatever you're using - spreadsheets, a CRM, something in between - the team works around it instead of with it.
Follow-ups don't happen. Quotes go un-chased. Commitments get forgotten - not because anyone's careless, but because nothing's holding them.
When a good rep leaves, their pipeline and relationships leave with them. What they knew was never written down anywhere you can reach.
Designing the sales process behind it is the work.
You're making sales - but opportunities are being missed. Deals slip, follow-ups don't happen, leads go cold. Not because the software's wrong, but because nobody designed how the business actually sells.
My process starts with how your business sells today. That means understanding who your customers are, how deals move, where time leaks out, what the team does manually and what other software they use. From there, I design the sales process that should be running - and then build the CRM and automations that run the process automatically.
The result is a sales operation you can see, measure, and manage - and a process the team follows because the system makes it easier than not following it.
A straightforward conversation about your business, how sales works today, and where it's getting stuck. No pitch - just enough to know whether there's a fit.
Working with you and the people who are part of your sales system to map out your process, so the design fits how the business really sells - not how a template assumes it does.
We build out your sales system according to the plan, and train you and your team on how to use it to help you start getting value from it immediately.

Website leads that used to sit in inboxes for up to 24 hours now get called within minutes. The sales operation was running on notebooks and manual workarounds; now the pipeline runs in a system every rep uses from their phone.

A project brief process that used to take 10 manual steps across four people now takes two. The sales operation ran on Kelly's inbox and a wall of email templates; now the pipeline runs the process - automated emails at each stage, project briefs that pre-populate and route themselves, and a visual view of every deal in flight.

Andrew was doing his own tech setup and burning out on chasing leads who wouldn't respond. Now automated nurture handles the follow-up, and as the business has grown, that same system has become a framework his design team runs themselves.

I'm Doug - Director of The Systems Business, with a background in software development and process design.
Most business owners get into business because they're good at something - a trade, a service, a product. The business part often ends up being an afterthought. But a business runs on its processes, and the ones that scale are the ones that have a repeatable system in place that runs their business.
That's the work I do - with businesses that have teams (sales, admin, operations) responsible for running the sales process, not solo owners who are doing everything themselves. I map how the business sells today, design the system that should be running, and train the team to use it.
Beyond client work, I'm responsible for onboarding new members at my local fire brigade. Same challenge as with clients - building a process consistent enough that nothing gets missed, whoever's running it.
